A Buntastic Experience at MM’s Bunny Café

This korean-inspired cafe, Traveloka’s top 10 of the must-dine resto in Bacolod City and the first ever rabbit themed cafe in the Philippines is owned by a not-so-good (haha) tumblr friend of mine, Michael (@torpengromantikoo). I do not want to say much about you bok ‘cause I know you’re such a good person and you deserve all this blessings.

MM’s Bunny Cafe is where you can pet and play real live bunnies. Trust me, this is worth visiting in Bacolod City. When I got there, the first thing I had in mind is to visit this place. Not only you can meet a different kinds of rabbits, but you get to meet a blogger too. I mean, how awesome is that.

Something has happened before all this and I thought I’ll never get the chance to visit the cafe and meet my friend. When I was in Bacolod, I was with another tumblr friend, @swiziejoe who toured me around the city. We were both so excited to visit the Bunny Cafe so we decided to surprise Michael on my vacant day. And so we get a Grab, traveled to Ramylu drive, Brgy. Tangub where this cafe is located just to find out that it’s close.

I was very fortunate to have my vacant day extended so, we went back there the next day.

First, let’s talk about the cafe. Well it’s tiny. (Bok, expand kana! HAHA) I think it has only three tables inside and I remember one table outside, but every corner of this place is filled with rabbit merchandise, bunny trophies and awards, and some cute korean stuff. Your korean heart will be happy. ^_^

If you’re into korean films, this book that has been displayed in MM’s Bunny cafe is in the movie W Two Worlds. Michael said that they’ve only published 100 copies of this book. He has one. Ugh! I watched it and damn that explained why I really wanted to buy this one.

You will notice that in almost all of the photos posted and tagged in MM’s Bunny Cafe Facebook Pagetheir visitors are wearing bunny ears. Well that’s because once you arrive in the cafe, they will let you wear those bunny ears and will take photos of you with the bunnies in colorful crates behind you. It’s kind of a marketing strategy, I guess. It’s their way of promoting the place. Well you wouldn’t just wear bunny ears for nothing in other places, right? Those ears are like their brand. It’s amazing.

We get to try some of their food specialty especially the Korean Ramyeon with egg and cheese. If you have tried Samyang noodles, well try this. I’m not into spicy foods but this one is an exception. It’s really good. You guys should really try it, too.

This cake is free of charge. (Almost everything we ate are free haha bc blogger privilege JK HAHA) We went there and it was their first month cafe celebration that’s why we got it for free.

Here’s a fact! It’s amazing how tiny this cafe is. But what’s even more amazing is that it doesn’t smell bad in there. It’s really really clean. I love that they prioritize the welfare of the bunnies that’s why you get to pet a bunny in a limited time only. But we were petting one in like forever (again blogger privilege hahahaha)

I have to say that this rabbit themed cafe deserves all the publishing ad promotion that it’s getting. This is worth a visit when you’re in Bacolod City especially to those who are animal lovers.

It was my first time to get close to a rabbit and to actually pet one of ‘em. It was an amazing experience for me. They are just like a toy pup but the smallest kind haha also, I couldn’t take my eyes off of its nose because it’s funny that they’re wiggling it the whole time hahaha it’s soooo cute!

When you do have the chance to be in the City of Smile, don’t forget to drop by at MM’s Bunny Cafe, the first Rabbit Cafe in the Philippines, inspired by South Korea’s Bunny Cafe located at #42 Ramylu Drive, Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City, Philippines.
